Mission 5 · Withdraw, switch, tax
How to cash out from Versa and when the money reaches your bank
Setting up your bank the first time, 2 OTPs, minimum RM50 and RM100, how long each fund takes, why the amount can differ, and leaving a Goal.
Quick answer
- Cash-i reaches your bank the same day if you request before 10am on a business day. Cash: T+1. Invest: T+3 to T+6.
- Minimum RM50 from Save, RM100 from Invest. Only to a bank account under your own name.
- Invest funds use forward pricing, so the amount that arrives can differ slightly.
What you need
- A bank account under your own name only
- Your phone to receive 2 SMS OTPs
- Money not sitting in a Goal (break the goal first)
Your money can come out anytime, but it follows a schedule
Money in Versa can come out anytime. There’s no lock-in and no penalty for Save or Invest. Only how long it takes to reach your bank depends on the fund, and on when you tap request. Understand this schedule so you don’t panic.

Manage → Cash Out
Tap Manage, choose Cash Out, and pick the fund to withdraw from.
- Manage → Cash Out. Tap Manage, choose Cash Out, and pick the fund to withdraw from.
- First time: add a bank. Only the first time, you need to add a bank account. It must be a single-name account in your own name.
- Bank OTP. Enter the SMS OTP to confirm the bank account.
- Choose bank and amount. Minimum RM50 from Save, RM100 from Invest. If you are in a quest, do not let your Save balance drop below RM1,000.
- Check and swipe. Make sure the fund name is right. For Invest funds, the amount received may differ slightly because the processing-day unit price is used (forward pricing).
- Second OTP. One more OTP to confirm the cash-out. Done.
- Check the expected date. Transaction history shows the cash-out with an expected date. Cash-i before 10 am: same day. Cash: T+1. Invest: T+3 to T+6 business days.
- Money arrives. The exact time depends on your bank. It can land any time before 11:59 pm on that date, sometimes earlier.

An example from Daus himself. In June 2026, Daus cashed out RM60,000 from Versa Cash-i to pay taxes and top up his emergency fund. Daus requested before 10am on a business day, and the money hit his bank the same day.

Minimum and bank
- Minimum from Save: Minimum cash-out from Save: RM50
- Minimum from Invest: Minimum cash-out from Invest: RM100
- OTP: Cash-out OTP: SMS OTP when adding a bank and when confirming a cash-out
The bank you cash out to can differ from the bank you cashed in from, as long as it’s under your own name. Joint accounts, company accounts or third-party accounts are rejected. Once saved, bank details can’t be changed yourself; ask support to delete and add a new one.
Why the amount that arrives isn’t the same as what you requested
For Invest funds (and switches), Cash-out amount can differ: forward pricing: the next calculated unit price is used. When you request RM1,000, Versa locks in the number of units at the current price, but the actual price used is the unit price calculated after your request (1 to 2 business days). If the market goes up, you get a bit more. If it drops, a bit less. This is how all unit trusts work.
Cash out taking too long? Check two things
- Wrong or incomplete bank details. A mistyped account number or bank name.
- Name mismatch. The name on your bank account must match the name registered with Versa.
If both are correct and you’re past the expected date, contact Versa at 03-7890 3500 or support@versa.com.my.
Three special situations
Money in a Goal. You can’t cash out directly from a Goal. Break the goal first, the money returns to your General balance, then cash out. See Goal Tracker.
Withdrawing everything. An empty portfolio is hidden from the home screen, but Auto Save keeps deducting every 5th of the month. Delete the plan if you want to stop. See Auto Save.
Cooling-off. First-time unit trust investors can request a full refund within the cooling-off period via email to support. Terms follow each fund’s prospectus.
Common questions on this topic
How long does a withdrawal take?
Cash-i: same day if requested before 10am on a working day. Cash: T+1. Invest funds: 3 to 6 working days depending on the fund. Daus once withdrew RM60,000 from Cash-i and it hit his bank the same day.

What's the minimum Cash Out amount?
RM50 from Save, RM100 from Invest.
Why is the amount that hits your bank different from what you asked for?
Funds use forward pricing: the units are locked at the time of the request, but the unit price used is the next day's price. It can end up slightly more or slightly less.
Why is your Cash Out taking so long?
Usually it's wrong bank details or a name mismatch. Versa only sends to an account under your own name.
Can you Cash Out to a different bank than the one you used to Cash In?
Yes, as long as it's under your own name.
Can you Cash Out money that's inside a Goal directly?
No. You need to "break" the Goal first, the money returns to your General balance, then you can Cash Out.

You Cash Out everything, but Auto Save still deducts money?
Yes, Auto Save doesn't stop on its own. You need to delete the plan inside the app.
