How to switch funds in Versa
Move money between Versa funds without going out to your bank. Official timing table, why there are no fees but value can change, and why a switch isn't fresh funds.
Quick answer
- Switching has no fees, but the final amount follows the unit price and can't be cancelled.
- Invest to Invest is T+2. Invest to Cash/Cash-i is T+5 to T+8 depending on the fund.
- A switch is not fresh funds. Quests don't count money moved around inside Versa.

What a switch is
A SwitchMoving money from one Versa fund to another, without withdrawing to the bank. moves money from one Versa fund to another without going out to your bank. For example: from Versa Cash to Versa Gold, or from Versa Growth to Versa Cash-i. Use a switch when you want to change your fund mix, not when you need to use the money.

- Amount and swipe. Type the amount and swipe to confirm. Switches cannot be cancelled and are unavailable from 12 am to 2 am.
- Wait for it to complete. Invest to Invest takes T+2. Invest to Cash/Cash-i takes T+5 to T+8 depending on the fund. A switch is not fresh funds for quests.

Fees and value
Switch fee: no fee, but the final amount depends on the unit price. Because a switch out of an Invest fund sells units at the processing day’s price (forward pricing), the value that lands in the target fund can be a little more or less than what you saw when you requested it.
Switches When switching is unavailable: 12 am to 2 am (maintenance) for maintenance, and can’t be cancelled once submitted.
Cut-off
The cut-off follows the original fund: Versa Cash-i Versa Cash-i cut-off: 10:00 AM on business days, everything else Versa Cash and Invest cut-off: 3:00 PM on business days. Requests after the cut-off are processed the next business day.

A switch isn’t fresh funds
When switching makes sense
- You want to lower risk as a goal gets closer (for example, moving from an equity fund to Save a year before you need the money).
- You want to rebalance your portfolio when one fund has grown too large.
- You picked the wrong fund when you cashed in.
Switching makes less sense when you’re trying to time the market this week. With timing up to 8 business days, prices will have already moved before the switch even completes.
